The members of the Romney Volunteer Rescue Squad recently began using their newly renovated Training
Center and Administrative Offices.  The modular building stands beside the main squad building, and for
years belonged to Hampshire Memorial Hospital.  Over the years the building has been used as a doctor's
office and most recently, human resource offices for the old Hampshire Memorial.  The building was given to
the squad by the Hampshire County Commission upon vacating by Valley Health.  Members of the squad put
in many hours painting, knocking out walls and other things to make the center a reality.

The Training Center has a classroom large enough to hold approximately 30-40 people.  The building also
houses the administrative offices of Romney Rescue Squad, including the President, Chief, Treasurer, and

The opening of this building allows RVRS to hold more trainings for it's members, as well as members of
neighboring EMS companies.  Most recently an EMT recertification class was held at the training center, lead
by CJ Hogan of Augusta Rescue Squad.

Future plans are to spread education into the community by holding community CPR/ First Aid Classes and
other trainings of interest to the community.
